Christmas is a wonderful time of the year so for this month the children were shown a directional painting, which is a step-by-step painting, as they follow my instructions. This canvas painting was completed over three weeks.
Week 1 - we drew the house
Week 2 - we painted the house and added extra details like fake snow, glitter and stars.
Christmas ornament painting
I brought a huge box of plaster decorations I had made and let the children paint as many as they wanted, well, as much as they could manage in an hour. They really enjoyed this one and could have happily carried on painting ornaments for another hour. I do hope they hung them from their trees.
